Goal
Build a new Shopify website to sell artwork and educate visitors on the mission of Wildflower Sea Glass. Migrate away from Etsy.
Laura, owner of Wildflower Sea Glass came to me seeking a new website for her non-profit organization where she could sell her artwork and educate her visitors about her mission.
Laura had been selling her artwork on Etsy but was disappointed with the hefty fees that were taken from each sale. Every penny counts with Wildflower Sea Glass because 100% of profits are donated to local dog rescue organizations here in New England!
I designed a fun and whimsical website with unique features like an animated $$ counter showing the running total of donations (to date, over $14,000 donated!) and an animated dog illustration that can be found throughout the site.
We set up a Point of Sale system so Laura can easily take payments at the many art shows and markets she attends. Additionally, we created a hidden, custom “Sold Out” page that Laura can easily activate when her artwork inventory runs out, or in between product launches to avoid an empty Products page. This came in handy right off the bat as Laura sold out of all artwork within 48 hours of launching the new site!
